Georgia came to Chambers as a pupil in in 2009 and joined as a tenant in October 2010. She came to the Bar after a career in Chartered Accountancy. Working in practice for six years for one of the Big Four International Accountancy Firms, she undertook work in audit, privatisations, large client management accounts and forensic accounting. Georgia has undertaken work for an International Commercial Bank and joined an FTSE 100 listed company, in order to set-up and run a financial department.
As a qualified Chartered Accountant and Fellow of the Institute Georgia is competent in financially related work. She has legal experience of Bankruptcy work and return of goods.
Her background pre-disposes her to corporate and commercial legal work, which she is happy to undertake, including contractual matters and property possession work.
She also specialises in Personal Injury advice and litigation for Claimants and Defendants, including Employers Liability, Occupiers Liability, Product Liability, Highways Act Claims, Infant approvals and Costs issues. Georgia undertakes road traffic litigation and has developed expertise in the area of Credit Hire.
She will always acknowledge receipt of work, respond to papers and report results on a very prompt basis.
A good communicator, Georgia aims to be attentive in conference, clear in advice and a focused litigator, endeavouring to meet the expectations of the lay and legal client.
