Mark was called to the Bar in 1998 following a 12 month pupilage at 3 Verulam Buildings, a leading commercial/banking set.  There he had wide-ranging exposure to insurance, banking, general commercial and professional negligence law.

Since joining Queen Square in 2001, Mark has specialised in the often complimentary areas of Employment and Personal Injury Law.

Mark is regularly instructed to appear in Employment Tribunals across England and Wales representing both Claimants and Respondents specialising in all areas of employment law with particular experience in cases involving unfair and wrongful dismissal, whistle blowing, restrictive covenants and sex, race and disability discrimination.

Mark is also frequently instructed to advise and represent Clients in contractual disputes and professional negligence cases.

Before joining the Bar, Mark had a successful career at Lloyd's of London, where he was a specialist in the North American reinsurance market for the leading international broking house.  He travelled extensively and for a time lived and worked in New York. Mark was a member of the General Council's department at the Financial Services Authority (FSA).  There he was responsible for drafting the rules for the Financial Ombudsman Service.  Mark was also seconded to HM Treasury where he worked in the Financial Services and Markets Act team.
