Philip Warren was admitted as a Solicitor in 1981, and practised as such in various areas of contentious work including prosecuting and defending in criminal cases.
He was called to the Bar in 1988 since then he has practised exclusively in crime, appearing for the prosecution and defence in Crown Courts on all parts of the Western Circuit and in Wales.
He is regarded as a polished and respected advocate who is adept at all areas of criminal practice, exhibiting diligence (particularly in matters involving high-volume paperwork) and good client care.
In addition to the usual sex, drugs, dishonesty and violence, his experience includes firearms cases, animal cruelty, dangerous dogs and confiscation proceedings under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002. He has been instructed as junior counsel in cases of murder for both prosecution and defence.
Recent notable cases include historic sexual offences, corruption in public office and child cruelty.
